Defiance Movie

Defiance is a 2008 American war film directed by Edward Zwick. Set in the eastern regions of Nazi-occupied Poland (now West Belarus) during World War II, the film is an adaptation of Nechama Tec's Defiance: The Bielski Partisans, which is based on the true story of the Bielski partisans. In the book, Polish Jews come together for common protection and to oppose the German occupation of their homeland.

Defiance stars Daniel Craig, Liev Schreiber, Jamie Bell, and George MacKay as four Jewish brothers from Poland who escape from the Nazis and fight back to rescue fellow Jews. Production began in early September 2007. The film had a limited release in the United States on December 31, 2008,[1] and is scheduled for full release on January 16, 2009.

Free Movie & Tv - Deadwater

Deadwater is a horror and thriller film about disaster striking a U.S. Navy warship in the Persian Gulf, and the subsequent investigation by a commando unit. The movie stars Lance Henriksen, Gary Stretch, James Russo, D. C. Douglas, Katherine Randolph, Jim Hanks and Jonathan Espolin. Written and produced by Ethan Wiley and Roel Reiné, and directed by Roel Reiné, it was released in the United States on May 20, 2008 by First Look Studios.

Part 1

A great example of low-budget guerilla filmmaking, the movie cost a reported $350,000 and was shot in 15 days on a couple of Panasonic HVX-200 HD digital cameras. The producers secured a restored museum Liberty ship docked in Los Angeles and shot mostly at night after museum patrons had left. Luckily the ship made a trip to a WWII San Diego event, affording the producers to get "at sea" footage for free. All the guns were plastic models, so all the muzzle flashes and sound effects were laid in later. Director Roel Reine does a great commentary with all this information.

Free Movie - 10 Items or Less

10 Items or Less is a partly scripted, partly improvised American comedy series created by Nancy Hower, John Lehr, and Robert Hickey. It stars Lehr as a less than successful businessman who returns home to run Greens & Grains, the family-owned supermarket, upon the death of his father.

The series debuted on TBS on November 27, 2006. It aired in Canada on Global's CH stations, but CH will not pick up the show when E! replaces CH due to poor ratings. On TBS, it aired every Monday night at 11pm ET/PT with either one or two new thirty minute episodes. Coincidentally, a film also titled 10 Items or Less opened on December 1, 2006, four days after the TV show's premiere.

On March 13, 2007 TBS announced that the show had been picked up for a second season of 8 episodes[1]. The second season aired in the US every Tuesday at 11pm ET/PT, with the last episode airing on March 4, 2008. On May 14, 2008 the show was renewed for a third season to air early in 2009[2]. The series airs in the United Kingdom on FX, and is showing both seasons back to back.

Summary

The series stars John Lehr as a struggling New York City businessman who moves back to his hometown of Dayton, Ohio to take over the family supermarket following the death of his father. The show is set in the fictional supermarket known as Greens & Grains, located at 5th Street and Tiberius.
Filming

A detailed script is written for each episode outlining the overall story arc. However, this script is not shown to the actors; instead they are provided with a loose outline of the plot, often finding out about it as they film. All dialogue is improvised spontaneously by the actors on the set. A typical 22-minute episode will be edited-down from roughly 30 hours of raw improvised dialogue and scenes[4]. John Lehr describes their production style as "similar to Spinal Tap."[5]

The series is filmed in a real grocery store called "Jon's" in Reseda, California (formerly Vons)[6], often with actual customers used as extras.
Main Characters

* Leslie Pool (John Lehr) - the owner/manager of G&G. Returning back to Ohio from NYC, Leslie brings his oblivious yet lovable management style to the Greens & Grains grocery store he inherits after his father's death.
* Amy Anderson (Jennifer Elise Cox) - The manager of Greens & Grains' No. 1 competitor from down the street, Super Value Mart. Amy went to high school with Leslie.
* Ingrid Wakowski (Kirsten Gronfield) - Ingrid is the quirky, soft-spoken customer service representative who lives for Renaissance Festivals.
* Yolanda Nelson (Roberta Valderrama) - The straight talking dominant force behind the produce department.
* Todd Sykes (Chris Payne Gilbert) - Todd, the butcher who hopes to be a NASCAR driver.
* Carl Dawson (Bob Clendenin) - Carl is the sweet doofus stockboy with a huge crush on Yolanda.
* Richard Mednick (Christopher Liam Moore) - Richard is a dignified cashier who dreams of becoming a professional ice dancer.
* Buchwald Washington (Greg Davis Jr.) - Buck is a checkout bagger who is looking towards the future of becoming a doctor by attending night school.

Minor Characters

* Manuelito (Raymond Ochoa) - Carl and Yolanda's son, but he thinks his dad died in the war. Carl finally sees his son in The Miracle Worker, but Leslie thinks he is talking to him.
* Shannon (Evie Peck) - This is a girl that Ingrid sees Todd flirting with in the aisle in The New Boss.
* Andy (Andrew Friedman) - Andy is Carl's friend who gives him an "It's a Boy" balloon after Yolanda tells him that he is the father of Manuelito in The New Boss.

MythBusters is a popular science television program produced by Australian firm Beyond Television Productions[1] originally for the Discovery Channel in Canada and the United States. The series has since been picked up by a number of international broadcasters, including SBS in Australia, and BBC2 in the UK. The series stars special effects experts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, who use basic elements of the scientific method to test the validity of various rumors, urban legends, myths, movie scenes and news stories in popular culture.

Filming for MythBusters is based in San Francisco, California, though some elements of production are done in Artarmon, Australia. Planning and some experimentation usually takes place at the cast's workshops; experiments that require more space or special accommodations are filmed on location, typically around the Bay Area. During the second season, several members of Savage and Hyneman's team ("The Build Team") were split off into a second team of MythBusters, and now typically test separate myths from the main duo.

History

Initial pilots for the show were first created for the Discovery Channel under the title Tall Tales or True[2] by producer Peter Rees of Beyond Productions in 2002. Discovery then commissioned three additional pilot specials. Jamie Hyneman came to the show through Rees, who had previously interviewed him for his appearance on BattleBots. Adam Savage, who had worked with Hyneman in commercials and on BattleBots, was approached by Hyneman to help co-host the show because, according to Savage, Hyneman felt himself too uninteresting to host the show on his own.[3][4]

In July 2006, an edited thirty-minute version of MythBusters began airing on BBC Two in the UK. The episodes shown on the European Discovery Channel sometimes include extra scenes not shown in the U.S. version (some of these scenes eventually make their way into "specials", such as "MythBusters Outtakes").

Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman are the original MythBusters, and initially explored all the myths on the show using their common background in special effects. The two work at Hyneman's effects workshop, M5 Industries; they make use of his staff, though they often work off-screen, with Hyneman and Savage usually shown doing most of the work at the shop. One of the show's gimmicks is the interaction between Savage and Hyneman, which is similar to a double act, wherein Hyneman plays the straight man and Savage is the comic relief. The show is narrated by Robert Lee, though in some regions his voice is replaced by a local narrator.

As the series progressed, some members of Hyneman's staff were introduced to the audience and began to regularly appear in episodes. Three such members, artist Kari Byron, builder Tory Belleci and metal-worker Scottie Chapman, split off in the second season to form a second team of MythBusters, dubbed the "Build Team". After Chapman left the show for personal reasons during the third season, Grant Imahara, a colleague of Hyneman, was brought in to round out the team with his electrical and robotics experience. The Build Team now works at its own workshop, called M7,[5] investigating separate myths from the original duo. Each episode now typically jumps back and forth between the two teams covering different myths.

The show has had two interns, dubbed "Mythterns": Discovery Channel contest winner Christine Chamberlain and viewer building contest-winner Jess Nelson; neither is with the show now. In the first season, the program featured segments with folklorist Heather Joseph-Witham, who explained the origins of certain urban legends, and other people who had first-hand experience with the myths being tested, but those elements were phased out early in the series. However, the MythBusters still commonly consult with experts for myths in areas in which they need outside assistance. These areas commonly include firearms, for which they most commonly consult Sgt. Al Normandy of the South San Francisco Police Department, and explosives, for which they most commonly consult retired FBI explosives expert Frank Doyle. The MythBusters will also routinely ask those they come in contact with during testing (such as those supplying the equipment being tested) if they have ever heard of the myth in question.

Each MythBusters episode typically focuses on several urban legends, popular beliefs, Internet rumors, or other myths. The list of myths tested by the show is compiled from many sources, including the personal experiences of cast and crew, as well as fan suggestions, such as those posted on The Discovery Channel online MythBusters forums.[6] Occasionally, episodes are produced in which some or all of the myths are related by theme, and occasionally these are dubbed as "[Theme] Special" episodes. As of August 2008, three myths have required such extensive preparation and testing that they had entire episodes devoted solely to them,[7] and four specials have been double-length.

Experiment methodology

The MythBusters typically set out to test myths following a two-step process. In early episodes, the steps were described as "replicate the circumstances, then duplicate the results" by Savage.[9] This means that first the team attempts to recreate the circumstances that the myth alleges to see whether the alleged result occurs; if that fails, they attempt to expand the circumstances to the point that will cause the described result. Occasionally the team (usually Savage and Hyneman) will hold a friendly competition between themselves to see which of them can come up with a more successful solution to recreating the results. This is most common with myths involving building an object that can accomplish a goal (for example, rapidly cooling a beer, or finding a needle in a haystack).

While there is no specific formula the team follows in terms of physical procedure, most myths involve construction of various objects to help test the myth. They utilize their functional workshops to create whatever is needed, often including mechanical devices and sets to simulate the circumstances of the myth. Human actions are often simulated by mechanical means in order to increase safety, and to achieve consistency in repeated actions. Methods for testing myths are usually planned and executed in a manner to produce visually dramatic results,[10] which generally involves explosions, fires, and/or vehicle crashes. Thus, myths or tests involving explosives, firearms and vehicle collisions are relatively common.

Tests are sometimes confined to the workshop, but often require the teams to move outside. Much of the outdoor testing in early seasons took place in the parking lot of M5. A cargo container in the parking lot commonly serves as an isolation room for dangerous myths, with the experiment being triggered from outside. However, budget increases have permitted more frequent travel to other locations in San Francisco and around the Bay Area. Common filming locations around the Bay Area include decommissioned (closed) military facilities (such as Naval Air Station Alameda, Naval Station Treasure Island, Hunters Point Naval Shipyard, Mare Island Naval Shipyard, and Hamilton Air Force Base), and the Alameda County Sheriff's Bomb Squad and Firearm range. Occasionally, mainly for special episodes, production moves out of state, or even out of the country.

Results are measured in a manner scientifically appropriate for the given experiment. Sometimes results can be measured by simple numerical measurement using standard tools, such as multimeters for electrical measurements, or various types of thermometers to measure temperature. To gauge results that don't yield numerical quantities, the teams commonly make use of several types of equipment which can provide other forms of observable effects. When testing physical consequences to a human body which would be too dangerous to test on a living person, the MythBusters commonly use analogs. Initially, they mainly used crash test dummies (most notably one they named Buster) for observing blunt trauma injury, and ballistic gelatin for testing penetrating trauma. They have since progressed to using pig carcasses when an experiment requires a more accurate simulation of human flesh, bone, and organs. They have also occasionally molded real or simulated bones within ballistics gel for simulations of specific body parts.

Both for the purposes of visual observation to determine a result, and simply as a unique visual for the program, high speed cameras are used during experiments and have become a trademark of the series. High-speed footage of moving objects in front of a measured scale is commonly utilized to determine the speed of the object.

Testing is often edited due to time constraints of a televised episode. It can often seem as if the teams draw results from fewer repetitions and a smaller data set than they actually have. During the Outtakes Special, they specifically stated that while they are, in fact, very thorough in testing myths and repeat experiments many times in many different configurations, it is simply impossible to display all of it on the show. Beginning in the fifth season, episodes typically contain a prompt for the viewer to visit the show's homepage to view outtake footage of either additional testing, or other facets of the myths being tested. However, Savage himself has acknowledged that they do not purport to always achieve a satisfactorily large enough set of results to definitively overcome all bias.[11]

In response to criticisms they receive about their methods and results in previous episodes,[11] the show produced several "Myths Revisited" episodes, in which the teams retest myths to see if the complaints have merit. These episodes have resulted in overturning results of several myths, as well as upholding some results for different reasons than originally concluded.

There are some myths and urban legends the MythBusters refuse to test. Paranormal concepts, such as aliens or ghosts, are not addressed because they cannot be tested by scientific methods, although one exception, pyramid power, prompted Adam to comment, "No more 'oogie-boogie' myths, please." The program generally avoids experiments harmful to animals, though in one episode they bombarded cockroaches and other laboratory insects with lethal doses of radiation and the cast addressed this, saying that the insects were specifically bred for experiments and would have likely died anyway. The book MythBusters: The Explosive Truth Behind 30 of the Most Perplexing Urban Legends of All Time (ISBN 1-4169-0929-X) also gives a list of a dozen urban legends that are unlikely to be explored (although three were eventually tested). Savage has commented that it is difficult to test myths that require them to disprove general claims because of the inherent difficulty in proving a negative. As a result, when they do pursue such myths, they typically go about disproving specific methods that claim to achieve results.[12] Additionally, certain myths are not tested due to various objections by Discovery Channel or their advertisers.

Conclusions of the experiments

By the end of each episode, each myth is rated Busted, Plausible, or Confirmed.

Busted

The myth's results cannot be replicated via either the described parameters nor reasonably exaggerated ones. Often, when a myth is declared Busted, the team will try to see what would be required to replicate the result of the myth, regardless of the facts within the myth itself. This is commonly referred to in the show as "the MythBusters way."

The Skinny

On Wallstreet Survivor you can trade all the stocks that the real Wallstreet offers. You can buy long, which means you keep it and pray it goes up in price. You can buy short, which is a misconception on the word BUY. Short buying means you actually borrow the stock and sell it off. The you pray the price goes down. When it has you need to cover that stock, but you pay the lower price and therefore make a profit form a stock that went down from your short price. Those are the basics that can get you started trading for run and education.

How it all plays out

They start you off with $100,000 to buy your stocks with and each trade you make cost you $10. You have a $25,000 limit on each stock you can buy and each trade earns you 50 loyalty points. Posting on the message board there will also gain you 200 loyalty points. Presumably there will be a survivor store where you can spend your points in, but it is not up yet. The site is a lot of fun and can be an educational tool you can use to trade stocks for real if that is your choosing. Based on how your stocks do you are ranked against everyone else on the site, with the top 10 winning prizes for each game. A game usually runs approx. 2 months. There are prizes given out for many things with Daily and Weekly winners as well.

The rest of the Story

You can win REAL CASH there while you learn how to trade stocks. Walt Disney Movie - Dinosour

Walt Disney Movie now free movie at www.mixdownload.biz - Dinosour

Dinosaur is an American animated feature film produced by Walt Disney Pictures, and released to movie theatres in 2000. It is the 39th animated feature in the Walt Disney Animated Studios canon. It combines the use of live-action backgrounds with computer animation of prehistoric creatures, notably the titular dinosaurs, produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation's Computer Graphics Unit that was later merged with Dream Quest Images to create Disney's Secret Lab department.[1] The Disney's Secret Lab department of the Disney company is now closed.

The film was the most expensive movie of 2000, costing $130 million United States dollars[citation needed], although unofficial estimates put it around $200 million[citation needed]. This film was rated PG by the MPAA for intense images.

The majority scenery of the film are from Canaima (Venezuela) landscapes, various tepuis and Angel Falls appears in the film.
The film was originally supposed to have no dialogue at all, in part to differentiate the film from The Land Before Time, with which Dinosaur shares many plot similarities. Michael Eisner insisted that the movie have dialogue in order to make it more "commercially viable." Coincidentally, a similar change was made early in the production of The Land Before Time, which was originally intended to feature only the voice of a narrator.

Pop singer/songwriter Kate Bush reportedly wrote and recorded a song for the film but due to complications the track was ultimately not included on the soundtrack. According to HomeGround, a Kate Bush fanzine, it was scrapped when Disney asked Bush to rewrite the song and Bush refused; however, according to Disney, the song was cut from the film when preview audiences did not respond well to the track. In Asia, pop singer Jacky Cheung's song Something Only Love Can Do, with versions sung in English, Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese, was adopted as the theme song for the film.

The Countdown to Extinction attraction at the Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park was re-named and re-themed to the movie, and is now known as Dinosaur. The storyline was always intended to tie in with the movie, considering the usage of a Carnotaurus as the ride's antagonist and Aladar as the Iguanadon that guests rescue from the meteor shower and take back into the present, seen wandering the Dino Institute in Security Camera footage seen on monitors in the attraction's unloading area.

It's likely that the roles of Eema and Baylene were inspired by British comic duo Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders, respectively.

A mother Iguanodon watches over her nest. A young Parasaurolophus wanders up and looks into the nest, but the mother shoos it away. When the young reptile disturbs a large Carnotaurus hiding in a nearby forest, the whole herd of dinosaurs is sent running away from it, Gallimimus, Edmontosaurus, Pachyrhinosaurus and such. One Pachyrhinosaurus is unable to escape and is devoured. During the chaos, the Carnotaurus tramples most of the Iguanodon's eggs, leaving only one still intact. The surviving egg, stolen by a number of other dinosaurs, eventually ends up on Lemur Island, an island inhabited by, as its name suggests, lemurs and a gigantic flightless bird the Gastornis. A baby Iguanodon soon emerges from the egg, to the fear of some and the delight of others among the tiny mammals. The lemurs are initially cautious about the dinosaur, but they nonetheless raise him, giving him the name Aladar. Not long after Aladar has grown up, a tremendous meteoroid falls from the sky during a Lemur mating ceremony, landing in the ocean. The resulting fiery shockwave destroys Lemur Island and kills the Gastornis. Aladar escapes with Plio, his mother-figure and mother of Aladar's adoptive siblings, Zini and Suri, and his grandfather-figure, Yar, by jumping into the ocean. They wash up on shore to find that they are supposedly the last of the lemurs.

Aladar and the four surviving lemurs go in search of a new home and eventually wander into a desert. They are soon attacked by a pack of Velociraptor but are rescued when a multispecies herd of dinosaurs crosses their path, scaring the Velociraptors away. The herd is heading for their traditional breeding grounds, believed to have been spared from the meteoroid's blast. Aladar joins the herd, despite Yar's protests, and befriends the elderly Eema (Styracosaurus), Baylene (An elderly Brachiosaurus), and their pet Edmontonia Url. Kron, the leader of the herd, is a merciless Iguanodon with a strong belief in a Social Darwinism-like philosophy, wherein only those who can survive on their own power deserve to live. These beliefs are shared by his henchman Bruton. This causes strong tension between Kron and the more compassionate Aladar, which is only complicated by Aladar's instant attraction to Neera, Kron's sister – the first female of his kind that he has ever seen. Aladar and Neera's relationship is initially strained because of Zini's honest but ineffective efforts to help Aladar win her affections.
A statue of Aladar in Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Later, when the herd arrives at the watering hole that they have relied on for past voyages only to find it empty, Kron orders the herd to move on, despite Neera's protests. Eema, growing weak of thirst, enters the empty lake bed. Aladar and Baylene follow her, and Aladar notices something is out of place about Baylene's footsteps. After digging, they find tons of water trapped beneath the sand. He recalls the herd with a loud cry, and Kron is the first one to arrive, thanking Aladar before telling him to go away and attacking all who try and drink the water before him. Nevertheless, Neera becomes infatuated with Aladar and the two begin to develop a positive bond when he teaches two young orphaned Iguanodons that Neera looks after, and later, Neera, how to get water.

Bruton, who had temporarily left the herd along with a scout Iguanodon to search for water in the dry lake bed, returns alone mortally wounded after being attacked by a Carnotaur who has already killed his scout. He warns Kron that there are in fact two Carnotaurs pursuing the herd, saying that the predators have been driven from their normal hunting grounds by the meteor), and Aladar, the lemurs, and the elderly dinosaurs get left behind as the herd picks up the pace. Bruton is also left behind, unable to keep up due to his injuries, and Kron didn't even want him to come since he believes he led the Carnataurs to the herd. Aladar invites him to stay with the misfits and himself. Bruton at first is reluctant to embrace this new idea and philosophy of helping others, but his loyalty is proved when the predators attack the stragglers inside of a cave. Aladar gets dragged in the tail by one of the Carnotaurs, but Bruton saves him, telling him to help the lemurs and the misfits. Bruton fights both the Carnataurs, and during the fight he sacrifices himself by collapsing the cave, killing one of the Carnotaurs, though Aladar his friends assumed that they both died. As for the other Carnoataur, who breaks out from the rubble alive, but severly injured, it roars in anger, hoping to find and kill them for ruining its meal and killing its companion.

The group is trapped in the cave, and Aladar begins to mold into Kron's philosophy of survival-of-the-fittest after Bruton's death and his repeated failures, only to have his friends and family to rescue him from this dark outlook, telling him that Aladar's philosophy for helping others is the reason that they are all alive. With this in mind, the group escapes the cave by destroying a rock ledge blocking their exit, and to their suprise the exit leads to the nesting grounds. Once there, they see that the original route to the breeding grounds has been blocked by a landslide, leaving the herd without a way of entry. And even if the herd can manage to climb up the wall of rocks, they would face a sheer drop on the other side and none will survive. Aladar, shocked by this, leaves the nesting grounds to find the herd and tell Kron of the alternate route. On his way, he discovers that the remaining Carnotaur is close on the trail of the herd. Aladar discovers that the herd is following the leader, Kron, in a perilous attempt to scale the wall into the breeding grounds. Aladar tells them of his discovery, but Kron refuses to listen. Instead, he attacks Aladar, furious that his authority has been questioned and challenged. The two fight, until Kron knocks Aladar into a nearby rock. As Kron goes in for the kill, he is knocked down by Neera, who is tired of his cruel beliefs. Neera helps Aladar to his feet. Together Aladar and Neera lead the herd away from Kron and towards the exit of the canyon. Stubborn as ever, Kron, having lost the leadership of the herd, attempts to climb the wall alone, refusing to submit to the leadership of another.

Suddenly, the surviving Carnotaur comes round the rocks and corners the herd. The hungry carnivore charges, but is discouraged from a meal when the entire herd (led by Aladar) stays together as opposed to scattering like it hoped. The herd puts up loud calls at the Carnotaur without any act of cowardice, forcing it into a corner to let the herd pass away from it for good. The Carnotaur was about to give up on its hunt until it spots Kron climbing the wall, and moves to attack him. Neera and Aladar follow to save Kron. Upon reaching the top of the rocks and spotting the shear drop on the other side, Kron realizes he is now cornered by the predator. Kron charges into battle; for a moment he manages to hold his, but in the last minute, he is bitten by the Carnotaur and thrown hard against the rocks. The Carnotaur closes in to kill Kron, but is stalled as Neera and Aladar come to the cliffside. In the fight that follows, the Carnotaur gains the upper hand by knocking Neera and Aladar out of its way, but Aladar gets back up and knocks it to the edge of a cliff, which starts to break as being unable to hold the theropod's heavy weight and the Carnotaur plummets down the cliff. The Carnotaur desperately tries to drag Aladar with it, but instead leaves Aladar with a bite on his back, and Aladar saves himself by holding on to what's left of the edge of the cliff while the Carnotaur falls down on the rocky grounds to its death. Neera goes to Kron's aid but it is too late, as Kron has already died from his wounds. Aladar takes over as the new leader and leads the herd through the cave into the nesting grounds, where the lemurs also find that they are not the last of their kind, and that there are lemurs in the nesting grounds. Zini finally gets a mate, Suri gets new friends and the lemurs have a new tree like the old one. This one has a lake for the lemurs to drink and swim. The movie ends with one of Neera and Aladar's eggs hatching, showing the lemurs and dinosaurs' peaceful life in the valley. Plio's voice can be heard above the jubilant bellows of nesting mothers, saying, "None of us really know what changes, big or small, lie ahead. One thing is certain; our journey is not over. We can only hope that, in some small way, our time here will be remembered."

Inaccuracies

The film featured a wide variety of prehistoric animals from various time periods and geographic region living alongside one another (the film is set in North America during the Cretaceous). For example, the film includes Longisquama from the Triassic of central Asia, and Velociraptor, Proceratops, Talarurus, Microceratus, and Oviraptor from the late-Cretaceous of Mongolia. Several animals featured in the film hail from the early Cretaceous, such as the North American/European Iguanodon, Utahraptor, and the Australian Koolasuchus, or from the late Jurassic, like the brachiosaur and the Stegosaur. Many featured dinosaurs existed only at the very end of the Cretaceous in North America, such as the Pachyrhinosaurus, Parasaurolophus, Styracosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Struthiomimus, Stygimoloch, Giganotosaurus, Ichthyornis, Sarcosuchus and Pteranodon. The Carnotaurus also lived in that period, but in South America (though in the context of the film, characters note that the latter "have never gone this far north before"). The giant dragonfly Meganeura lived during the Carboniferous Period, 160 million years before Iguanodon. Though primates existed in the late Cretaceous, lemurs did not exist until the early Cenozoic Era. The lemurs were added for entertainment's sake, as the filmmakers claimed that mammals existing in the Mesozoic Era were "hideous".

Many of the animals in the film also bore anatomical inaccuracies. For example, there is strong evidence to suggest that both Oviraptor and Velociraptor had plumage. In fact, the initial designs depicted the Velociraptor and Oviraptor with feathers. However, due to time, technical, and budget restrictions, they ended up featherless. The animators also found it too difficult to animate beaks as mouths, and decided to give the Iguanodon lips, turning their beaks into teeth. The Iguanodon were also shown galloping when they ran; this would have been very difficult to do, as their spine was very inflexible vertically. Several dinosaurs, including Styracosaurus and Carnotaurus, were not as large as the film depicted. The Carnotaurus were re-sized for entertainment's sake, being closer in size to larger theropods like Tyrannosaurus and other dinosaurs like Torosaurus, Anatotitan, and Quetzalcoatlus. In reality, they were smaller than Iguanodon (and half their weight), and less bulky than depicted in the film. Longisquama could not fly as it did in the film, though some have suggested it could glide or parachute from trees. Also, grass evolved after the Mesozoic Era, unlike in the movie.

Free Ringtones for mobile phone, ipod, USB, computer & many more.

A ringtone or ring tone is the sound made by a mobile phone to indicate an incoming call or text message. The term is a misnomer, as it is often used to refer to any ring sound, almost all of which are not tones. The term is most often used to refer to the customizable sounds used on mobile phones.

A phone “rings” when its network indicates an incoming call and the phone thus alerts the user. For landline telephones, the call signal can be an electric current generated by the switch to which the telephone is connected. For mobile phones, the network sends the phone a message indicating an incoming call.

A telephone “ring” is the sound generated when there is an incoming telephone call. The term originated from the fact that early telephones had a ringing mechanism consisting of a bell and an electromagnetically-driven hammer, producing a ringing sound. The aforementioned electrical signal powered the electromagnet which would rapidly move and release the hammer, striking the bell. This "magneto" bell system is still in widespread use. The ringing signal sent to a customer's telephone is AC at 90 volts and 20 hertz in North America. In Europe it is around 60-90 volts AC at a frequency of 25 hertz

While the sound produced is still called a “ring”, more-recently manufactured telephones electronically produce a warbling, chirping, or other sound. Variation of the ring signal can be used to indicate characteristics of incoming calls (for example, rings with a shorter interval between them might be used to signal a call from a given number).

The first commercial mobile phone with ring tones was the Japanese NTT DoCoMo Digital Mova N103 Hyper by NEC, released in May 1996.[1] It had a few preset songs in MIDI format. In September 1996, IDO, the current au, sold Digital Minimo D319 by Denso. It was the first mobile phone where a user could input an original melody, rather than the preset songs. These phones proved to be popular in Japan. Kētai Chakumero Do-Re-Mi Book (ケータイ着メロ ドレミBOOK, "Mobile Ringtones Do-Re-Mi Book"), a book published on July 1998 introducing the "notes" of popular songs sold more than 3.5 million copies.

The first downloadable mobile ring tone service was created and delivered in Finland in autumn 1998 when a Finnish mobile operator Radiolinja (today Elisa) started their service called Harmonium, invented by Vesa-Matti Pananen.[2], the Harmonium contained both tools for individuals to create monophonic ring tones and a mechanism to deliver them over-the-air (OTA) via SMS to a mobile handset. On November 1998, Digitalphone Groupe, the current SoftBank Mobile, started the similar service in Japan.

The service concept spread quickly in Europe and Asia and developed into a multi-billion dollar industry.[3] A ring tone service was one of the very first successful m-commerce services, with social media features like composing, sharing, and rating ring tones. The Harmonium also quickly created a market for high-quality professional ring tones and commercial ring tone libraries.

Truetones (or real tones), which are often excerpts from pop songs, have become popular as ring tones. The first truetone service was started by au on December 2002. [4] My Gift to You by Chemistry was the first song to be distributed as a truetone.

The rise of video games has also contributed to the popularity of ring tones.[5] On August 5, 2006, the BBC described "free ring tones" as a dangerous search term, because of the risk of malware and other malicious websites.[6]

By 2005, ring tones generated more than $2 billion in annual worldwide revenues.[7]

Sales and marketing of ring tones is a prime example of vertical telecommunication convergence.

Ringing signal

A ringing signal is an electric telephony signal that causes a telephone to alert the user to an incoming call. On a POTS telephone system, this is created by sending an alternating current signal of about 100 volts [90 volts and 20Hz in the USA] into the line. Today this signal may be transmitted digitally for much of the journey, provided as an alternating current only because a majority of landlines are not digital end-to-end. In old phones, this voltage was used to trigger a high-impedance electromagnet to ring a bell on the phone.

Fixed phones of the late 20th century and later detect this AC voltage and trigger a warbling tone electronically. Mobile phones are fully digital, hence are signalled to ring as part of the protocol they use to communicate with the cell base stations.

In fixed POTS phones, ringing is said to be "tripped" when the impedance of the line reduces to about 600 ohms when the telephone handset is lifted off the switch-hook. This signals that the telephone call has been answered, and the telephone exchange immediately removes the ringing signal from the line and connects the call. This is the source of the name of the problem called "ring-trip" or "pre-trip", which occurs when the ringing signal on the line encounters excessively low resistance between the conductors, which trips the ring before the subscriber's actual telephone has a chance to ring (for more than a very short time); this is common with wet weather and improperly installed lines.

Early research showed that people would wait until the phone stopped ringing before picking it up. Breaks were introduced into the signal to avoid this problem, resulting in the common ring-pause-ring cadence pattern used today. In early party line systems this pattern was a Morse code letter indicating who should pick up the phone, but today, with individual lines, the only surviving patterns are a single ring and double-ring, originally Morse code letters T and M respectively.

The ringing pattern is known as ring cadence. This only applies to POTS fixed phones, where the high voltage ring signal is switched on and off to create the ringing pattern. In North America, the standard ring cadence is "2-4", or two seconds of ringing followed by four seconds of silence. In Australia and the UK, the standard ring cadence is 400 ms on, 200 ms off, 400 ms on, 2000 ms off. These patterns may vary from region to region, and other patterns are used in different countries around the world.

A service akin to party line ringing is making a comeback in some small office and home office situations allowing facsimile machines and telephones to share the same line but have different telephone numbers; this CLASS feature is usually called distinctive ringing generically, though carriers assign it trademarked names such as "Smart Ring", "Duet", "Multiple Number" and "Ringmaster." This feature is also used for a second phone number assigned to the same physical line for roommates or teenagers, in which case it is sometimes marketed under the name teen line. Caller ID signals are sent during the silent interval between the first and second bursts of the ringing signals.

The interrupted ring signal was designed to attract attention and studies showed that an intermittent two tone ring was the easiest to hear. This had nothing to do with the coded ringing that was used on party lines.

Features

Older telephones simply used a pair of bells for the ringer. Modern ring tones have become extremely diverse, leading to phone personalization and customization.

Newer mobile phones allow users to associate different ring tones with individual family members and friends. Taking advantage of these features, a new ring tone maker trend has emerged. For example, websites like Mobilephoria, Phone Sherpa, and Dopetone let users make ring tones from the music they already own (MP3, CD etc.) and upload directly to their mobile phone with no limit on the number of songs uploaded. In addition to the cost benefits, a key feature is the music editor that lets the user easily pick the part of the song they wish to set as a ring tone. Such services automatically detect the phone settings to ensure the best file type and format. There are, however, providers who have already edited and trimmed the song for you.

Some providers allow users to create their own music tones, either with a "melody composer" or a sample/loop arranger (such as the MusicDJ in many Sony Ericsson phones). However, these use native formats only available to one particular phone model or brand. Other formats, such as MIDI or MP3, are often supported; they must be downloaded to the phone before they can be used as a normal ring tone. Commercial ring tones take advantage of this functionality, which has led to the success of the mobile music industry. Southern rapper Chamillionaire was the first to have a ring tone go 3x platinum for the hit single "Ridin." He now has his own category on certain phones.[citation needed]

The latest innovation is the sing tone, a type of karaoke ring tone where a user’s voice recording is adjusted to be both in time and in tune then mixed with a backing track to make a user-created ring tone.

An alternative to a ring tone for mobile phones is a vibrating alert. It may be useful:

* In noisy environments
* In places where ring tone noise would be disturbing
* For those with a hearing loss
Types of ring tones

Monophonic
A monophonic ring tone is simply a series of notes, one musical note at a time.

Polyphonic
A polyphonic ring tone can consist of several notes at a time. The first polyphonic ring tones used sequenced recording methods such as MIDI. Such recordings specify what synthetic instrument should play a note at a given time, and the actual instrument sound is dependent upon the playback device.

Truetone
A truetone (also known as "realtone", "mastertone", "superphonic ringtone" or "audio recording") is simply an audio recording, typically in a common format such as MP3, AAC, or WMA, and represents the latest evolution of the ring tone. Truetones, which are often excerpts from songs, have become popular as ring tones.

Ring tone formats

* AAC: Some phones like the Sony Ericsson W810i support ring tones in ".m4a" AAC format. The iPhone supports ring tones in ".m4r" AAC format.
* eMelody: Older Ericsson format.
* iMelody: Most new phones that don't do Nokia's Smart Messaging are using this format.
* KWS: Kyocera's ringer format.
* MID / MIDI: Popular sound format.
* Morse code: Text files with a .MORSE extension get converted into morse code songs.
* MOT: An older ringer format for Motorola phones.
* MP3: Some phones support ring tones that are mp3 format.
* Nokia / SCKL / OTT: Nokia Smart Messaging format. Nokia phones can receive ring tones as a text message. Ring tone tools can create these text messages. This allows anyone with a compatible phone to load their own ring tones in without a data cable. There are other phones besides Nokia that use this.
* PDB: Palm database. This is the format used to load ring tones on PDA phones such as the Kyocera 6035 and the Handspring Treo.
* PMD: Format co-created by Qualcomm and Japanese company Faith which can include MIDI, sampled audio, static graphics, animation, text, vibration and LED events
* QCP: File format generated by Qualcomm PureVoice software.
* RTTTL: A popular text format for ring tones.
* RTX: Similar to RTTTL with some advanced features. Also the octaves are different on RTX.
* Samsung1 & Samsung2: Samsung keypress format.
* Siemens Keypress: Can create and read in a Siemens text file format.
* Siemens SEO: Siemens SEO binary format.
* SMAF: Yamaha music format that combines MIDI with instrument sound data (aka Module files). Filenames have the extension "MMF".

Ring tone maker

A ring tone maker allows a user to take a song from his/her music collection, pick the part that he/she likes and send the file to his/her mobile phone. Files can be sent to the mobile phone by direct connection (e.g., USB cable), Bluetooth, text messaging, or e-mail, however, most ring tone makers have adopted a "one size fits all" strategy of downloading through the Internet; while appealing to the lowest common denominator, this method usually results in charges to the user for Internet time used on his/her mobile phones.

The Internet-based transition was further marked in 2005 with the on-air, G4TechTV review of "SmashTheTones" (now "Mobile17"), the first third-party solution to allow ring tone creation on a webpage without requiring downloadable software or a digital audio editor. With the Internet now playing the process' largest role, other websites began to offer such tools and ring tone making has not only become simplified but more accessible to the average user.

Criticism

In April 2005, the law firm of Callahan, McCune and Willis filed a class action lawsuit against Jamster! on behalf of a San Diego father and his ten-year-old daughter.[8] The lawsuit alleges that Jamster! scammed cellular telephone customers through the use of fraudulent and deceptive advertisements. The plaintiffs argue that the ads in question offered one free ring tone to cell phone customers who responded to the ad via text message, but failed to inform users that they would be subscribed to a monthly service.[9] As of March 2007[update] the lawsuit is pending.

On July 20, 2005, the Utility Consumers' Action Network (UCAN), a non-profit California consumer advocacy organization, filed a complaint with the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) against Cingular Wireless for the unauthorized billing of non-communications related charges, such as ring tones.[10] UCAN claimed that Cingular billed its customers for Jamster! and other similar ring tone services without providing customers with the notice, opt-in, and proof of authorization requirements necessary for such charges.[11] UCAN further charged Cingular with violating numerous CPUC requirements by consistently telling customers with questions about non-communications service charges on their wireless phone bill that Cingular has no responsibility and cannot assist customers with their inquiries.[11][12]

Ziela Jalil Artis Lama Yang Disegani

Selepas diperkenalkan A R Badul, beliau dibimbing pengarah terkenal seperti Aziz Sattar, Othman Hafsham, Zek Lokman, Datuk Rahim Razali, Nasir Jani dan terbaru Raja Alauddin
